I was impressed by Joseph's smile and calves in a cycling kit. Joseph thought I looked familiar but was most intrigued by my old glamour shot. A week after we matched, he finally messaged me and I gave him a hard time for taking so long. We immediately connected over our love for music and our dry sense of humor. I planned our first date at The Fennec in Birmingham, and from that night on, he was "livin' on love." Since that night, we've seen some killer concerts, spent hours talking over our favorite songs, laughed so hard we've cried, grown to love each other's families and learned how to love each other intentionally. From the start, Joseph never gave up on trying to convince me he was every bit as great of a catch as he thought he was. It didn't take terribly long for me to realize I couldn't agree with him more. When he decided to propose to me in October on Friday the 13th with a chocolate taco and Hocus Pocus, saying yes was the easiest decision I've ever made. We strive each day to bring out the best in each other and we're learning how to love each other harder when we can't be our best. We keep each other grounded and focused on what's really important.
